Lakeside Junior High's football team finished undefeated, beating Oakleaf Junior High 32-12 to claim the NEFAC championship at Ridgeview High School on Tuesday, Oct. 20.

It was the Orange Park school's first Northeast Florida Athletic Conference football title since 1993, Clay County Athletics announced on Facebook after the game. Lakeside Junior High also celebrated the win on its school Facebook page.

The championship game kicked off at 6 p.m. at Ridgeview, according to a pre-game announcement from Clay County Athletics. Clay Today's Randy Lefko covered the game for readers who want a full play-by-play account.
