Clay County voters can cast their ballots at any of seven early voting sites starting Friday, Oct. 23, ahead of the Nov. 3 general election.

Early voting runs through Saturday, Oct. 31. Polls are open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at every location, according to the Clay County Supervisor of Elections calendar.

Clay County added a day beyond the state-mandated early voting window, which begins Saturday, Oct. 24. The county's extra day gives voters nine days instead of eight.

Three of the seven sites sit in the Orange Park and Fleming Island area:

  • Eagle Landing Residents Club, 3975 Eagle Landing Pkwy., Orange Park
  • Orange Park Library, 2054 Plainfield Ave., Orange Park
  • Thrasher-Horne Conference Center, 2900 Thrasher Horne Ave., Orange Park

The Fleming Island Health Department, Building 600, 1845 Town Center Blvd., Fleming Island, is also open.

The remaining three sites are:

  • Keystone Heights City Hall, 555 S. Lawrence Blvd., Keystone Heights
  • Middleburg Civic Center, 2102 Palmetto St., Middleburg
  • Supervisor of Elections Office, 500 N. Orange Ave., Green Cove Springs

Unlike Election Day, early voters are not required to go to their assigned precinct. Any registered voter can use any location.

Secure ballot intake stations are available inside all early voting sites for voters returning completed mail ballots in person, according to the Supervisor of Elections office.

Supervisor of Elections Chris H. Chambless's office said voters can check real-time wait times and get driving directions at EarlyVoteClay.com.

The voter registration deadline for the Nov. 3 election was Monday, Oct. 5, according to the Supervisor of Elections office. The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot is 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22.
